Whitnie Crown Wolverton, soprano, Founder
Originally from Denver, Ms. Wolverton has appeared as a soloist with various orchestras and chamber ensembles
throughout the Rocky Mountain Region and Michigan.
A 1994 winner of the Denver Opera Young Artist's competition, Ms. Wolverton's operatic credits include:
Mimi, La Boheme; Laetitia, The Old Maid and the Thief; Susanna, Marriage of Figaro;
Sister Genevieve, Suor Angelica and Magda Sorrell in the Consul.
Additionally, Ms. Wolverton sang with the nationally recognized St. John's Cathedral Choir, Denver and appears on
several of their acclaimed recordings on both the Delos and Gothic labels. She was also a founding member of St.
Martin's Chamber Choir, now Colorado's only fully professional vocal ensemble. Her graduate studies were in vocal
performance at University of Denver's Lamont School of Music where she was a student of Mr. Larry Glenn.
She is a soprano soloist and a staff singer in The Cathedral
Church of St. Paul Chamber Singers, Detroit.
Although the majority of her solo and choral work is in opera and oratorio of later musical periods, her true love
is early music. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Vox.
